The Squid

Jordan sewed this big blue squid, with a little help from Sarah, for his friend Camille's birthday. He decided on the color by asking Camille, "What's your favorite color of squid?" Then he asked her random questions just to throw her off the track.

Eagle Scout Project

Dominique and his brother with Jordan

Jordan's Eagle Project was truly one of a kind. Mom had met Dominique Romundo at the Bountiful Summer Fest (a festival celebrating the countries of the world) at his booth representing South Sudan. Dominique was one of the lost boys of South Sudan, who after reaching the U.S., started a project to build a school for the children living in his childhood village of Loudo. Mom, who had been on the lookout for eagle project opportunities, asked Dominique if there was a possibility Jordan could help. Dominique said yes.

For his project, Jordan collected and sorted boxes and boxes of school supplies and toys/games for the children in Loudo. Jordan also collected money to support the building and running of the school. Because of the conflict currently happening in South Sudan, Jordan's supplies will have to wait to reach Loudo, but when they do Dominique promises to show the children a picture of Jordan as the person who sent them.
